S4E4: In the Cards: The Ultimate Deck of Life’s Biggest (and Dumbest) Questions

Fate, Fortune, and IPA: A Deck of Random Questions

What happens when you let a deck of cards control the conversation? Chaos, deep thoughts, and some unexpected laughter. In the latest episode of Are You Sh!tting Me?, Brett and Aaron shuffle through life’s biggest (and dumbest) questions—one card at a time.

The Deck Decides: Would You Rather…?

This episode is all about fate. Each card drawn led to a question, and some of them got real interesting. A few highlights:

  • Would you rather have a third arm or a third leg? (And if it’s an arm, where does it go?)
  • Would you rather have photographic memory, but only for cat pictures, or speak every language fluently—but only while drunk?
  • Is it morally acceptable to time-travel just for the free food?
  • Would you kill a man… if it were in self-defense? (Yes, this one got dark.)

The randomness kept things unpredictable, but the laughs? Those were guaranteed.

A Beer That’s In the Cards

This episode’s beer pairing might be the most on-brand yet: In The Cards by Pollyanna Brewing Company. A hazy IPA with a citrus kick and a solid 5.5% ABV, it kept things interesting—much like the questions. Brett and Aaron gave it a solid review, although the warmer it got, the more grapefruit it seemed to have (which was not a plus).

Fun fact: Pollyanna Brewing is based in Lemont, IL, a small-town brewery with a big reputation. If you’re ever in the area, it’s worth a visit!

Deep Thoughts & Heated Debates

Of course, not every question was ridiculous. Some got a little philosophical:

  • Do we live in a simulation?
  • Is social media misinformation the biggest threat to democracy?
  • Should the U.S. adopt siestas? (Short answer: Yes. Immediately.)
  • What’s the best Star Wars character? (The real battle of the episode.)

Between debates on Beatles vs. hip-hop, thoughts on the afterlife, and questionable medical form honesty, this episode had a little bit of everything.
